A hand machine tool having a housing (12) and at least one cable (50) running therein, in particular with an electric motor (18) arranged therein, preferably an air-cooled commutator motor with carbon brushes (28, 29) guided in a carbon brush duct (30), becomes electrically safer, is more easily cooled and is improved with respect to the housing rigidity in that a frame-like cable carrier (32) is arranged in the housing (12), in particular braced radially against the insides of the housing (12), said cable carrier holding the cables (50) radially outward in the housing (12).
