Disclosed is a hacksaw (10) comprising a clamping device (32) for accommodating and blocking a cutting tool (18), especially a saw blade. The clamping device (32) is fitted with a receiving means (16) for accommodating the cutting tool (18). Said receiving means (16) can perform a lifting movement during operation. According to the invention, the receiving means (16) encompasses a tube which is shaped, particularly pressed, in order to accommodate the cutting tool (18).
